Elections in Ukraine untimely - Tymoshenko

22/10/2008, 16:53

Early parliamentary elections in Ukraine during the period of the world financial crisis would be a “crime against the state,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told a briefing after the meeting with leaders of parliamentary factions on Wednesday.

The elections will prove to be a “war against everybody,” she said.

The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYT) will not vote in support of any laws concerning early parliamentary elections, she said.

“Our political force will not endorse any law concerning early parliamentary elections,” she said.

First of all it is necessary to adopt all anti-crisis laws, “it is necessary to offer a hope for stability and normal work, and let them wage a political struggle thereafter,” she said.
